February 23, 2017 - You are now pancytopenic!

Surprise, you are now pancytopenic!

Thanks to Jan's proding, I went ahead and got some lab work and re-established with a new primary doctor - Doug Keim, MD.  I have known him and since I saw John Quinn, MD my cardiologist years ago, it made sense to use the same office.

My chemistries and lipid panel were great but....
my CBC was atrocious

WBC at around 2800, H/H 10/32, platelets 93,000 with megaloblastic red cell indices (my red cells were large).   Explains why I've been more tired over the couple of years!

Doug reviewed the lab and suggested (appropriately) that I see an oncologist...

Although unusual for a B12 or folate deficiency - I will get these values in the hopes that a vitamin deficiency is the culprit. I can only hope.

A big thanks to my GOD for Jan's persistence and my listening to, and acting, on her request...
Sometimes I get it through my think skull that the Holy Spirit speaks through those around me....

I am so blessed to have a loving wife and family!  THANK YOU GOD!
